I’d ask you to keep an open mind while I write this and you read it. I’ve done my best to keep in line with that way of thinking for quite some time now, even when I couldn’t for your benefit and mine.

I’d say I don’t want much, but there’s not an ounce of truth to that, I’m just accustomed to accepting and expecting less than — however, we both know those days are hopefully behind me, a day at a time.

Help me master life and self, one twenty-four sequence at a time.

Self-control and the knowledge I can only control self, aren’t enough if we can’t actively put both into practice. Principles are a verb, help me put them into action and live in the action, every day I’m blessed with.

I went from wanting to live life sitting alone on a corner, to manifesting having the people I once sat with, who are no longer with us and I loved, turned into murals on the avenues we once stood on. Imagine that.

Let me just be appreciative of that fact, and recognize the growth in it as well as be proud of it, just for today. It’s about time I gave myself some credit for a few things instead of dwelling on what I didn’t do or did wrong, may I pivot my perspective towards what’s right and what’s right in front of me.
