America, The Unrecognizable
I don’t recognize this place anymore — but that doesn’t mean I don't love it.
This is not a political post, just a brief collection of some long-overdue thoughts, and non-party-leaning opinions. Views I accrued through my own life experiences, observations, and doing what few people in this country seem to do today, which is thinking for myself as opposed to letting a politician or their party do it for me.
On some issues, I lean one way and on others, I may lean the opposite because again, they are purely my own views and opinions and at this moment, I consider myself affiliated with neither political party. This is primarily because I trust almost no politician and no longer want to be associated with a government that I constantly find myself at odds with, if only ideologically. With who they are as people and the lack of character and actual respectable values they bring to a profession that is in desperate and dire need of both and has been, maybe from the very time of its conception that we’re all supposed to be out celebrating today, on July 4th.
Instead, I’m home alone writing a list of grievances I’ve gathered, against this still great nation. You don’t have to be in total agreement with the people who run this country and their actions, to still love it for what it was, is, and even…
