Don’t Let This World Steal Your Magic, Kid
Some words to the youth, and those coming in, up and around, after or under me.
Don’t worry about the ball hitting you and don’t swing at the first pitch.
Learn to compliment a woman, without the sting of the word bitch.
Be considerate and conscious of others but don’t worry about them.
Judge people on their actions and character, not what you heard about them.
When you’re capable of striking like lightning, they can’t steal your thunder.
Don’t do drugs, be true to yourself — don’t keep a rug to sweep shit under.
I was young and dumb once, now some days I’m just one or none of ‘em.
Don’t ever be afraid to tell someone you love them, or you’re done with ‘em.
Few words or verbs ever end up hurting as much as the undone or unsaid.
Don’t believe in ghosts, but know there are angels, have convos with the dead.
All I’m sayin’ is don’t let this world steal your magic, or abduct your inner kid.
Don't ever let yours runaway, escape or go missing, for as long as mine did.
