Hey Kevin, just some overall thoughts I wanted to leave you. I highlighted this and hit respond in hopes it comes up on your end as a private note.

I think it’s great you started the publication back up and am happy to be apart of it as well as honored to be named an editor. That being said, the rest of what I have to say is just based off my experience as a writer on Medium.

You cannot expect success quickly. Even articles that go viral are forgotten about shortly thereafter. Your drive cannot be based off those fleeting moments. It has to be based off longevity. There will be times you feel like you’re gaining no traction and become unsure of why you even bother. You just have to keep going. You have to move past it and post another article.

I only say all of this because I write all of my articles with the intent of getting as many eyes on them as possible. When you shut down, I immediately removed any submissions and sent them to other publications.

That is not a process I want to go through again and more importantly, I don’t want to see you hang it up again for no good reason. You will not find major success in a month or two. It’s about small wins and the long game. Stay positive but don’t get too far ahead of yourself and just keep writing and trudging along. I’ll be right here with you doing the same. Best of luck brother and I’m here to help and contribute.
