If that’s the case, I’d say that means you’ve already put in a fair amount of work on your own domain and should keep at it. Picking up 1,000 views on your own domain is not easy, I commend you.

However, I honestly don’t see how it would possibly be easier for you to pick up 1000 views on your own domain then it is here on Medium. It’s a built in community. Even without followers, your stories get views through tags and publications. My thinking is if you managed 1000 views on your own site, you’d do extremely well here if you put in the time and effort. But like you said, to each their own. I think it’s important everyone does what works for them, there’s no one route to success. Thanks for the insightful reply!
