History, Hate and Hypocrisy

A Philadelphia Story

I’ve lived in Philadelphia all my life. I’ve seen it at it’s worst and best as well as everything in between. It breaks my heart to say lately, it’s been more of the worst than the best, for awhile now.

Last year, we broke our own already tragically high record for single murders in a year, with 562.

A total of 1,846 people were shot within city limits in total in 2021, meaning almost 4 times the amount of people who were murdered, were shot and lived to tell about it.

The cops blame the mayor and the District Attorney, while the District Attorney’s Office blames Harrisburg, or Washington, or gun laws and pushes their own agenda and rhetoric, and now they’ve voted to impeach that same district attorney, Larry Krasner.

Here’s the truth, they’re all to blame. They’re playing Game Of Thrones politically, at the cost of the safety of the citizens of Philadelphia, instead of protecting and serving the people they were elected to, or swore an oath to. They stopped remembering what exactly their jobs were and that they were and always will be bigger than them. They let bruised egos and political affiliations cloud their judgment and used them as an excuse not to do their jobs.
