Its an expression, is what I was trying to say. And no, it is not always directed at women or females. I've heard the phrase "That every man dreams of" used, and I'm sure how it was used was probably some cliche generalization about what society thinks we all want--we were just able to see it for what it was and didn't take it so literally we felt the need to write multiple paragraph responses explaining not all men want the same things.
Regardless, I realize you didn't exclusively comment to criticize the expression or that aspect of the piece and said you otherwise enjoyed it, so thank you for that and for reading as well
