Let The Hurt You Feel Humble and Heal You
It sure beats ego, anger and resentment.
Life as our authentic selves starts with being willing to slowly kill our ego. With making things that are personally important to us our priority, over looking for things to take personal and put atop our petty doings of of the day log.
Easier said than done on some days though, least for people like me.
Even Michael Jordan took things personal, just google his Hall of Fame acceptance speech. Watch it, embody it — but then choose better.
Because petty can feel satisfying. Revenge can be justified, in a lot of cases.
What neither rarely provide, however, is true peace of mind or body.
Still, you can justify an eye for an eye manner of living with a bible reference.
You can call your war holy or declare it on something the whole deems unholy. Let me know if either helps you sleep better at night than making peace a priority does. I’m doubting it.
Revolting against what we resent, never helps us live more presently.
Having to have the last word, rarely helps anything, or anyone.
What it does, is kill healthy lines of communication in cold blood.
