Thank God I’m Not Famous
You can have all that, I got no use for it.
I write this, from the privacy of my bedroom with the door shut, because I don’t want to be bothered for the next hour or two. I have that privilege and ability today.
Yet, I’m blessed with the gift of having a small, selective but special group I consider dear to my heart, that actually cares enough and finds my words, thoughts, opinions, and experiences interesting enough to read when I take time out to publish — and for the most part, leave it where it lays.
This is two gifts wrapped in one box, and it’s taken me until just this morning to realize it. To have good fortune and the freedom that a certain level of stardom or notoriety just simply doesn’t allow for.
Would I like to be Jay-Z, Eminem, or even Ryan Holiday? Yes, at a glance, sure. I’d love their money. Who would say no to two billion dollars, right?
Matter of fact, maybe I only need the few hundred million Eminem has.
Or maybe just the couple million dollar net worth of Ryan Holiday ($6.5M according to a website that lists his age as 1 year old, so take what you will from my source) would suffice.
Ah, yes, money. I’ll take it, should any of the three be parting with any.
