That Thing You Do

Do the thing you do, while nobody else is and with nobody watching. Humbly do it for yourself, without applause or recognition.

Do it in a manner you can be proud of. One you won’t have to make excuses for after. Do it to the very best of your ability and without explaining yourself to others but know your why.

Do what you were meant to in the way nobody else can. Do it when you don’t feel like it and when everything within you says you can’t.

Do it rather than find a reason you didn’t or because others said you couldn’t. Do it for all the times you didn’t do it.

Do the thing you do for yourself and by yourself. If you ever start to feel like you need assistance, then be your supply of help.

Do the thing that matters most to you, the thing you’ve always done or always dreamed you would. Do it for free until your so good they don’t have a choice but to pay you.

Do it until your world class at it and nobody does it like you do. Do it because Nike, Shia Labeouf and Chuck Bukowski told you to.

Don’t talk about it, Don’t think about it. It’s time to do it.
