This genuinely might be the most well thought out and intelligent response to any story I've ever received, and I don't really disagree with any of what you said, I'd just add with of the women I know who fit into the category of the story, are simply superficial and want the trophy to bring home to their friends and family (obviously, they don't simply stop at tall).
I also understand part of it is simply primal and some can't help it, instinctively they feel a tall man will better protect them from, well, you know what life's like ....
But that's not true in today's world anyway. Mike Tyson isn't 6 feet tall, Will Smith is. You get my point. You don't have to be of a certain height to protect a woman nor make a good partner all around.
