Understandable Matthew. My only advice is to ask yourself why you want your own site. If it’s to sell something or its because you think you can no doubt pull in advertising money and traffic and have the time or the budget to invest in it, I say go for it.

Speaking from experience, I didn’t have any of those things and realized I only wanted my own site to appease my ego. I wanted my own site for the sake of having my own site and I think that’s the case for a lot of other people. For me, it just wasn’t worth the time and effort spent.
