Which is why I ended the piece the way I did. I relate to just about zero percent of the rap on the radio. I wouldn’t know joey badass or Vince staples if they were behind me in line at Walmart. I honestly think it’s just a generational thing because growing up people said the same thing about a lot of the music I liked.

But what’s truly lazy,as you say, is the majority of the modern rap I do hear. There’s nothing to it, repeated hooks and idiots over using auto tune.

But I’m glad you felt passionately enough about the music you like to defend it as much as you did. And you had valid points. End of the day, everyone likes what they like I guess.
